We are looking for a a proactive and results-driven Sales - Business Development Manager to lead the growth and expansion of GIS solutions within the Defence & Emergency market in Belgium and Luxembourg. As a key member of our team, you will drive business development efforts, foster strong client relationships, and position our GIS solutions as the go-to choice for Defence & Emergency sector looking to unlock and leverage the power of spatial data.
Your Role
- You create the GIS community for Defence & Emergency in Belgium & Luxemburg and you are responsible to inform and inspire through organising info sessions, workshops and webinars.
- You are the point of contact in the sector of the Defence and the major Emergency organisations and you will focus on the development of the market.
- You are / will become the thought leader in Belgium and Luxemburg with an approach and expertise to help the customers towards trends and insights.
- You remain up to date and keep on following the trends in the sector. You are able to inspire and inform the customer on how the Esri technology can help them to solve the bottle necks and how to improve their way of working.
- You built on a long term relationship with the decision makers and guide them through the full process.
- You are in contact with the different players in this market and be the central GIS thought leader that gathers and spreads information and inspiration to our customers so that they can understand how GIS can help.
- You guide and support the elaboration of the projects.
- You create a network of influencers and you manage this in a dynamic way.
- You can detect the needs of the customers and translate them towards the possibilities of the technology.
- You will work closely with the international group of responsible for Defence & Emergency within the Esri Family (other European countries and the team in the US).
Your Profile
- Master's degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in the Defence & Emergency sector and in IT solutions.
- Experience with the sale and / or implementation of IT solutions is a plus.
- You have a strong interest in Marketing since communication and positioning of solutions is a key element.
- You have a strong commercial feeling and get energised by helping out the customer to improve their business processes.
- You are a problem solver.
- You have strong communication skills.
- You have an analytical approach and are hands on.
- Team player.
- You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
- You have sufficient technical knowledge to be able to translate the needs within the sector in technological solutions.
